I have been working at Chilton since September 2011, having qualified as a teacher in 1989. I am currently the Head Teacher. I previously worked in Manchester and Darlington. I gained a Masters Degree in 1993, and completed NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Head teachers) in 2007.
Being part of the Chilton team is both exciting and rewarding. The primary school is unique in its place at the heart of the local community – and this gives it a real strength and clarity of purpose. All our staff are incredibly hard-working and constantly look for ways to inspire the children with their learning and ambitions. The Governing Body act as the school’s ‘critical friend’ and because of their wide set of skills and experience, it is useful to view things from other perspectives. With everyone from every part of the school sharing the same aim, I think we are a cohesive and successful team.
I am a member of the following committees:
- Curriculum and Well-being
- Performance and Standards
