Chilton Academy Friends

Who are Chilton Academy Friends?

The Chilton Academy Friends are a group of volunteers who have come together to form a Friends Association. It is made up of parents, grandparents and staff from the school. You do not need to have a child/children in the school to join.

What is the aim of Chilton Academy Friends?

The aim of our Friends group is to bring together parents, grandparents, carers, friends and the local community to raise money through fundraising events. The funds raised are used to purchase a wide variety of resources and activities for the children of the school – such as Google Chromebooks, footballs, prizes, Christmas/seasonal parties and much more. We have also funded trips to the pantomime and educational events with help from local Councillors, the Club and Residents’ Association.

Chilton Academy Friends provides an opportunity for everyone to work together towards helping to advance the education and well-being of the pupils of the school. All parents, teachers and school staff can get involved – even if they only have a small amount of time available. The group increases the opportunity for parents to become more involved in – and learn about – everyday school life.

How you can become a Chilton Academy Friend?

It does not matter if your circumstances and commitments mean that you cannot help by coming into school as a volunteer on a regular basis; you can still contribute to our group by providing raffle prizes, signing up to our ‘Easyfundraising’ page and/or attending events we put on across Chilton. Any support will always be greatly welcomed and appreciated.

Regards,

Hazel Coulthard
Chairperson of Chilton Primary Friends
