Welcome to Stonehenge
In Stonehenge, we C.A.N. try our hardest to be as good as we can be.
Welcome to our class. Our teacher is Mr Sheard and Mrs Bedford also works with use sometimes. We currently have 27 children (11 boys and 16 girls). Our favourite subject as a class is Maths and we love to solve problems and work maths out. You would love being in our class because we are all kind and do a lot of fun and exciting things.

All about our Class Teacher
Hello. I am Mr Sheard and I have been teaching here at Chilton Academy for 5 years. I have taught in several other schools but Chilton Academy is definitely the best because we have a very supportive staff who get on great with each other. I love to teach PE because I believe that being physical active and participating in team sports has huge benefits for children’s health and mental wellbeing. PE, sport and being physically active also has a positive impact on children’s determination to success, concentration, teamwork and co-operation. I especially enjoy teaching team sports like tag rugby, cricket and netball. Its amazing to see someone who I’ve seen grow as a sports person from before they were in Key Stage Two, compete and succeed in competitions against children from across the area.
I was born and raised in Leicestershire, however since moving to go to university. I have lived in the North of England. Eight years ago, I relocated to County Durham to move in with my wife, who has always lived in the Bishop Auckland area. My wife is also a teacher and works in lots of schools in the area.
We have two amazing children together Megan, who is 6 and William who is 4. Megan loves creating with arts and crafts. She goes to Dance lessons and has recently started participating in Junior Parkrun at Hardwick Park. William loves all things Lego, Star Wars and superheroes – he even knows more names of superheroes than me! In my spare time, I like to go walking in the Lake District (where I learnt to be a teacher), follow sport (I support Liverpool Football Club and Leicester Tigers Rugby Union Team) and enjoy distance running. I regularly run at one of the local Parkruns in the area and take part in 10 km and half marathons throughout the year.
