Welcome to Pennines

In Pennines we C.A.N. be creative, motivated and independent learners.

Welcome to our class.  Our teacher is Mrs Dunn and we currently have 27 children (11 boys and 16 girls).  Our favourite subject as a class is reading and we love to share and discuss the books we have read and enjoyed.  You would love being in our class because we are all happy, caring and supportive of each other.

What pupils say about our class

Ebony: We are independent learners, we can choose our own resources.

Knox: I love working in the art area. We can draw and decorate our pictures.

Faye : I like how everyone gets along.

Derin: I like playing in the small world area.

Sienna: I like acting out the stories we read together. We can dress up as the characters.

Tommy: We have a big construction area. We can create and build models with our friends.

All about our Class Teacher

Hello.  I am Mrs Dunn and I have been teaching here at Chilton Academy for thirteen years.  I have taught in several other schools but Chilton Academy is definitely the best because the staff are so supportive of all of the children.

I love to teach art because I believe that all children are natural artists. It is lovely to see children being free to explore and creative something beautiful. I also love to teach geography because I believe it is vital to understand about the people and places that make up our world. I have lots of different interests outside of school especially spending time with my family, exploring new places and trying to keep fit.
